A friend of mine told me “did you forget anything as you wrote about Domain name registration”? And i thought about that what he said. really I forgot some points:

Sometimes you see a big trend, maybe not in market but you know it instinctive. And when you go for the name, you will not find a big search result on Google. No problem! If you think it is a domain for the future, Go and register. If the keyword domain is registered, go for keyword Phrases. Combine the Word and you will find great Domain which is free and will be yours. Just an Example: You will find a domain related to home credit and instant credit; what about a combination? Like Instanthomecredit? The KW Phrase Instant home Credit has a search result by Google approx 12.900.000.

You see now you have the Domain www.Instanthomecredit.com, a domain with clear meaning and clear usability. That means do not forget Keyword Phrases.

Second: register domains in field which are trendy and will have a Market in the future. Go for new technology and new requirements of the Market.

You see everyday in news people are talking about Solar energy or Biotechnology or biometrics print finger. There are x1000 people they have Domains related to this field but there are also x1000 Domains which are free. Go and register them.

Other Example: The current financial crisis and a possible trend on it. We see everyday the news about private sector of finance, banking and business. They are not more able to find a way out of the crisis and the governments are going to take over big fields of their activity. I am not going to say that is a classical protection but it seems everyday more that the States and Government in USA and Europe getting involved in Private sector.
