At least we did it. I own this domain since about 10 years and have never developed it. As I registered it, my first think was it will be my main Site for my Portfolio, and I would one time develop it. No time, no knowledge, so I parked it.

Parking is a special matter; it is good for Domainer, but in long time it is not good for Domain and it is not also good for the user/visitor. But I didn’t know that and the domain was parked and parked and parked a long time.

And not this Domain (as I said it should be my main homepage for other Domains) but a ton of other domains too.

I have learned in the last 10 years Parking is good and makes some $ for some Domains, but in deep thinking parking kills your Domain.

Do you want to know why? I can tell you. Imagine you are a visitor and you come from SE or somehow to a Landing page from one Domain. What do you see? I van tell you. A page with great colour and great Design with some links; uhhhh you will say! Maybe you will find that what you were searching, maybe not. But one thing is sure; next time when you cam back (btw: I am not sure you will be back!) you will see the same page. Not more, not less.

What is the result? You come no more to the site.

And imagine there are 100 or 1000 or more people they come no more. Do you know what the result is? I can tell you. YOUR DOMAIN IS DEAD. Yes it is dead. Only because you had no time and you had no knowledge.

I do not want to complain about Domain Parking Service. I have a ton of Domains which are parked; sure some of those makes some Money; but let me tell you something:

Parking is good for a Domain, which is Type ins Domain. Really you do not need a Landing page for a type ins domain. You can build a blank site and you get visitor. Imagine you would own Candy.com! Do you think this Domain need a Parking System? The Answer is NO.

I have tried a lot of alternatives to the regular parking. I do not want to name these, it is not ok. But I can tell you that I was never satisfied with them.
